Debt in America is a huge epidemic plaguing citizens of the United States. In order to remedy this disease, we need to constantly manage our budgets and income on an almost daily basis. I, for one, spend many hours a week balancing my savings and debt. From mortgage payments to car payments and credit card debt, it is a never-ending struggle.
One website that I’ve recently found to be helpful is Debt Reduction Doctor. This looks to be a relatively new website but have found the content so far to be very helpful, specifically in reducing credit card debt
If any of my readers know of any other websites, please feel free to leave a comment.
Our reliance on technology has never been more evident after listening to this audo clip. Listen to this 911 call of a woman who gets locked inside her car when the cars on-board electronics fail. Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart, was killed in a car accident early Thursday morning when the car (driven by a female friend and another male passenger) was struck by a minivan in an apparent hit and run. The driver of the minivan, Andrew Gallo, was driving under the influence and fled the scene on foot after running a red light and striking their car. All three passgeners, including Adenhart were killed. Authorities found Gallo a short distance away from the accident with minor injuries.
Nick Adenhart, 22, was in the midst of fulfilling every young man’s dream of playing professional baseball when his life was cut short by the drunk driver. Just hours before the accident, Adenhart made his season debut for the Angels where he was able to showcase his talent and capture the hearts of the 43,000+ fans in attendance.
May Nick Adenhart and the two other victims Rest in Peace.

If you think your commute is tough, check out these people who commute to work across a collapsed bridge using a zipline. The people in the Sichuan Province in China have been commuting this way since the major earthquake hit the region in May 2008. Makes your Dad’s stories about walking through snow and 0 degree weather seem like a walk in the park.

Driving into work parking structure a few weeks ago, I find this Mini Cooper parked sideways along two compact parking spaces. On the windshield of the car is 1) a parking ticket for $35 and 2) a printed notice from a website that they drive like an a**hole.
If you ever wanted to let a driver know just how bad they are at parking their cars, this website offers a templated notice that visitors can print and place on the offending vehicles windshield. The notice contains the name of the website and checkboxes with a variety of violations, ranging from parking too close to another car to taking up two parking spots.
From the location of the offending car (highly visible towards the entrance of the parking entrance) and the position in which the car was parked (notice was visible from passerby’s), it’s a safe bet that this was a marketing move to promote the site. Since they eventually received a parking ticket, they can chalk up the $35 towards advertising.
Money well spent…
